Scope of Work

Anweshan Pvt. Ltd., a public health research firm, is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Research Officer on a full-time basis. As a Research Officer, you will play a pivotal role in our organization, contributing to the development of research proposals, conducting primary and secondary research, supporting enumerators training, writing comprehensive research reports, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. The successful candidate will possess excellent research skills, demonstrate self-motivation, effective communication abilities, leadership qualities, and a commitment to working efficiently both independently and as part of a team.

Detailed Responsibilities:

1. Assist in the development of research proposals, including conducting background research, designing methodologies, and formulating research questions and objectives.
2. Prepare high-quality research reports, synthesizing and analyzing data from various sources, and presenting findings in a clear and concise manner.
3. Conduct primary data collection through interviews, surveys, focus groups, or other methods. Collect and analyze secondary data from relevant sources.
4. Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including clients, partners, and research participants, to gather information, coordinate activities, and maintain collaborative relationships.
5. Project Management of research projects by ensuring adherence to timelines, milestones, and deliverables. Coordinate with team members to ensure efficient execution of research activities.
6. Analyze research data using appropriate statistical methods and software and interpret findings to generate actionable insights.
7. Ensure the accuracy, validity, and reliability of research data and methodologies by implementing quality assurance protocols.
8. Adhere to the national and international research ethical standards.

Qualifications and Skills:

1. Master’s degree or Bachelor’s in public health or in a relevant field with extensive research background.
2. Proven 3+ years of experience in research proposal development, report writing, and primary and secondary research in public health.
3. Experience in specific public health research is highly desirable. Previous experience in leadership roles or leading research teams is an asset.
4. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets and draw meaningful conclusions.
5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate research findings to diverse stakeholders.
6. Proficiency in research methodologies, data analysis software (e.g., SPSS, R, MAXQDA, NVivo or others), and Microsoft Office Suite.
7. Strong organizational and project management abilities, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
8. Demonstrated self-motivation and ability to work independently, while also being a collaborative team player.
